Elisabeth Gennis, MD, Fellowship-trained, Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon, Joins Nashoba Valley Medical Center’s Medical Staff

Ayer, MA – Nashoba Valley Medical Center (NVMC) recently welcomed fellowship-trained, Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon Elisabeth Gennis, MD, to its medical staff. Dr. Gennis specializes in carpal and cubital tunnel release, trigger finger release, all fractures and injuries of the hand and wrist, including tendon and nerve injuries, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, and Dupuytren's contracture.

“We are fortunate to have Dr. Gennis join our talented orthopedic services team,” said Salvatore Perla, president of Nashoba Valley Medical Center. “Her expertise in hand and upper extremity surgeries expands Nashoba’s surgical service offerings to our patients.”

In addition to being fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity, which she completed at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Gennis is board eligible in orthopedic surgery. She completed her surgical residency at Boston University and received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

“I look forward to treating patients in the community who are suffering from hand or upper extremity conditions,” said Dr. Gennis. “Helping my patients regain functionality, mobility and return to the activities they enjoy are my ultimate goals.”
